2023 - now
Guest Lecturer at the Environmental Architecture MA programme, at Royal College of Art, London UK
As a guest lecturer my role is to conduct field research relating to climate change and it’s impact on selected locations’ biodiversity and local communities, present my research to the students, organise and coordinate students fields trips and assist towards their Final Major Projects. We are currently working in Lasithi, Crete, in the area of Sitia within the Sitia UNESCO Global Geopark. The area has been characterised as high importance due to it’s unique flora and fauna and it’s relationship to local livelihoods. The region is considered by different European founded programs as being high risk for climate change due to its geological formation and geographical location.
2024
Children's online workshop about Olympic games
Shinkai nursery
Nanjo-shi, Okinawa, Japan
2017
Family workshop part of the 'Invisible but Omnipresent solo exhibition at Deptford Lounge.
The workshops I run focus on teaching children how to reuse items from our daily life either by recycling them or find different alternative ways to use them; a simple rubber band can become a stamp, a used milk carton box became a jack-in-the-box toy and a paper plate was turned into a mask.
My aim is to stimulate children’s creativity by offering them alternative ways to view their environment and teach them basic craft skills to create toys and games from their surroundings. In addition is a way to introduce them the idea of recycling/reuse rather than disposing old or used items and reduce waste and stimulate their inventiveness.
